THE PROCESS

PROTOTYPE DESIGN

The Car’s design is an EV vehicle equipped with solar power, the solar panels mounted on the car’s surface harness sunlight and convert it into electricity. The energy is subsequently employed to replenish the car’s battery. The solar energy integration provides an additional source of power extending the car’s range. There is also an Incorporation of a Liquid Crystal Display to improve users’ experience, the LCD can provide real-time updates on the charging status, including battery level, charging time remaining, and whether the car is actively charging and can be customized based on users’ preference.

Impact on the market

Solar-powered cars are changing the game in the car world. They're super eco-friendly because they don't produce any emissions when they run. Plus, they save you a bunch of money in the long run, especially if you live in a sunny place. These cars also help us rely less on fossil fuels, which is great for the planet. And because they're catching on fast, they're shaking up the car industry, making big companies think about investing in clean energy or risk being left behind.

RESULTS

FINAL PRODUCT

The process of making the product was interesting as many skills were learnt but also had its challenges that we had to deal with for example integrating various subsystems to work together seamlessly and balancing the weight of components with energy efficiency.
