To achieve Goal 6 we integrate ultraviolet light sensors which work to disinfect the water and eliminate harmful bacteria. Goal 14 is achieved by helping the fish below water to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet.

A family leaves for holiday and are unable to feed their fish whilst they are away. The automatic feeder helps the fish keep healthy.

THE PROCESS

PROTOTYPE DESIGN

Our prototype is a circuit that is built with LEDs as the UV lights and a servo as the food dispenser which is connected to an ESP32 that is controlled through the cloud with Arduino IOT Cloud App. This will sit on top of the fish tank that drops the food to the fish so they can be fed.

Our product will face challenges such as keeping up with customer preferences, however we are confident our team can continually evolve by providing convenience and ease of mind for consumers.

RESULTS

FINAL PRODUCT

The process was a cooperative journey where we put our ideas together to create our product. We gathered materials using on-campus locations and our own money to create an automatic fish food dispenser and a UV light mechanism which are both set on timers.
