BEACH SWEEPERS

Our project is a remote-controlled vehicle that can be used to remove rubbish and litter from beaches to keep them clean, attractive and a safe environment. Problem we are trying to solve is the issue of beaches being left in a bad state which will lead to less people going to the beaches. Also, we are looking to save marine life as litter can get into the sea and harm sea life animals. Removing dangerous items left on beaches like broken glasses and sharp metals will ensure people don’t get injured.​

PROTOTYPE DESIGN

“Controlled through remote control, so whoever controls it can make sure it stays away from the sea or near people so their experience of the beach is not affected by it.

Can move in any direction, which will allow the vehicle to cover any part of the beach.

Large wheels to go on any surface.

A trailer system that is attached to the main vehicle collects all the rubbish from the beach surface using a ramp design to capture the rubbish.

A siv-like design inside where the waste is stored as want to filter out the sand, so it goes back in the beach.”

``Our product is very essential for tourist locations, because many people come to these locations for the beaches and if the beach is nice and pristine, then more people will want to go there. This will essentially help other businesses around it economically, so there's going to be interest from these communities to invest into our product.

Our product is something special on the market as its easy to use and very effective. Also its a better alternative than getting people to pick litter from these beaches as our product will be faster and can run for a large amount of time. ``
