Small businesses would be able to save money from labor cost as there is no need to pay workers to clean the solar panel.
The solar panel would have LDR to detect which part of the solar panel has dust or grime on it. It would activate the corresponding wiper and also start the nozzle that releases fluid. There will be an internal clock so that it does not activate during the nighttime. This would make it self-cleaning. There will also be a remote which the user can manually start the cleaning of the solar panel.
Since this market is saturated with lots of other businesses selling a more advanced version of the self cleaning solar panel, our product will not make a big impact on the market. However, it will be significantly cheaper than most businesses, helping us stay competitive
We started by prototyping the design on paper. We split into smaller teams with some of us doing the tinker cad and coding with the rest of us doing the building. We meet often to catch-up on our progress and to report back to each other.
