The first goal we worked towards good health and wellbeing as our product aims to give people a higher quality of life by preventing and treating issues that come with bad posture and back pains. Our second goal is affordable clean energy and we achieve this by having rechargeable batteries so we don’t contribute to excess waste. The last goal we are aiming to achieve is responsible consumption and production, one way we can achieve this is by using recycled materials.

Our current prototype uses a breadboard with an Arduino that can be programmed using C++. It will have a on/off switch, a button to select which function to use, it will use sensors will activate buzzers for the specific functions of the product. We are also planning on adding a DC motor for the massage function that will be in memory foam as well as the rest of the components.

In the first stages we brainstormed many issues that many people faced that would need a solution. We finally came across one that most of the population suffered with and that there weren’t many solutions for out there, as they didn’t provide solutions for short and long term effects. The next step after that was coming up with the best possible design that would be easy to use. So currently we are focusing on building our prototype and 3D printing the parts needed. We don’t have our final prototype as we are still working on improving it, as we are making good progress.
