THE PROCESS

PROTOTYPE DESIGN

The Smart Travel Suitcase prototype targets modern travellers, especially business and tech-savvy individuals. It features a fingerprint scanner for secure access, a USB charging port for on-the-go device charging, and a durable exterior made of polycarbonate or ABS plastic to withstand frequent use. A power management system conserves energy by powering down inactive components. The suitcase includes a removable 100Wh power bank that complies with airline regulations and features an auto-wake function to activate charging when unplugged.

To ensure security, the fingerprint scanner will be tested under various conditions, including with wet or oily fingers. The suitcase is designed to be lightweight but durable, with reinforced corners and waterproof casings to protect the electronics. The Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) power management system uses deep sleep mode to save power. Feedback from MVP testing will guide product refinement, including enhancing the fingerprint scanner’s accuracy and optimizing battery performance. The MVP follows a Build-Test-Learn-Refine approach, with potential future features like GPS tracking and geo-fencing.
