This project directly address the UNs goal of affordable and clean energy and climate action, these goals work hand in hand to limiting the environmental impact we are having on the earth and also strive to find affordable ways for ordinary people to do they’re part in helping the environment .
Goal 7: “Affordable and Clean Energy,” aims to ensure universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all by 2030, while also increasing the share of renewable energy and improving energy efficiency.
Goal 15: “Life on Land,” aims to protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, focusing on managing forests, combating desertification, halting land degradation, and preventing biodiversity loss.

The key things that matter regarding our sand heater include the heating efficiency, environmental considerations and safety features. The heating efficiency matters as it must have an orderly heat transfer to decrease energy consumption. Heating efficiency also matters due to it needing to have proper insulation to maintain heat and lower waste. Environmental considerations matter as we should focus on the sand heater having sustainable materials where possible. Finally, safety features matter as the sand heater must show it is safe enough to use and build. For example, it should include an emergency stop button for immediate shutdown. This is just in case anything malfunctions or goes wrong with the sand heater. Another example is that it must have insulation on the surface to prevent any burns. There are also key aspects of the sand heater that can be controlled such as the temperature, how much energy is used and heat distribution. The temperature is something that can be controlled as there is real time monitoring where sensors can track the sand temperature to then adjust the heating appropriately. The amount of energy used is something that can be controlled due to the power levels where there are modes of low, medium or high heat that are used to optimise energy consumption. Finally, the heat distribution is a thing that we can control due to there being a timer function where heating times can be set for a specific amount of time.
