Our product could potentially change the market for the visually impaired as it gives them a cost effective way to have a companion without the huge maintenance and grooming cost. Thus saving the consumer money whilst providing them with independence.

RESULTS

FINAL PRODUCT

The Insight rover was designed from the ground up to safely and reliably guide visually impaired users to their destination. We carefully selected the hardware components, including a microcontroller, sensors, motors, and power source, to create a mobile platform that could detect obstacles and navigate through the environment. The robot’s chassis was engineered using durable materials to house the electronics, and the control software was programmed to process sensor data, plan an optimal path, and drive the motors accordingly. After extensive testing and refinement, the final Insight rover product will be packaged with additional features like speakers and cameras to enhance the user experience and provide a transformative mobility aid for the visually impaired.
